Last weekend was general conference, and I have to admit that I have not watched all of it yet. It is recorded on my tv and I can't wait to finish watching it. But on Sunday my sisters and I were supposed to have a picnic to celebrate Shamae's birthday. I went to the Joyce's house in the morning for crepes! which I think is an awesome family tradition for general conference Sunday's and I plan on continuing it! :) On the way over there, I learned that my sister's that live in Farmington, MO (Renee and Shamae) were having car trouble and wouldn't be able to make it up for the picnic. I immediately decided that we would all travel down there to celebrate because it had been a long time coming, and we needed to get together! (and I had already bought all of the food, drinks and a birthday cake!).
We arrived there at about 1:30, and we headed to the park for the picnic! It was a beautiful, warm but very very windy day outside. We had trouble keeping everything on the table and needless to say, we put the Frisbee back in the car and got out the kite! We ate our lunch and watched the kids play around the picnic table for quite a while!
They wouldn't leave the jeep alone....
until it finally died.
After lunch, we walked around the lake to the playground, where we watched the kids play for several hours and we chatted! It just never gets old! :)
This pic took forever to get right because Andrew was taking it haha
We went up to the pavilion to do have birthday cake!
While up there... The only bad thing that happened all day... Robbie ran right into one of the poles and had a huge knot on his head, poor baby!
but minutes later he was ready to go back to the playground!
Then we had a little fun taking some sister pictures, and the two kids on the playground that were not with us were just standing there laughing at us the whole time. it was pretty fun lol
So yeah basically, I think that family is the greatest blessing in life, and I will forever cherish my wonderful family. I had a conversation with Brent's mom, Aura, one night about my family and she said something that really touched my heart. She said my family has a closeness that she can feel when she is around us. We have been through a lot together, good and bad, and we have grown closer through every trial.
Here are a few more pics of me and some of my sisters and the kids at the cardinals game last week :)

We took a group pic of the guys sitting behind us, so I asked them to take one with us, and the guy was like you want us in it? i was like uh no thanks haha.
The final family gathering before I went back to school was a lunch at my house yesterday after church. Everyone came over as a final farewell/ celebrate easter a little bit early. It was a lot of fun as always. :)
